There are two cities in Wyoming named Cheyenne. The capital city is Cheyenne, Wyoming, located in Laramie County. The other city is Cheyenne South Dakota, located in Dawes County.
According to the U.S. Census Bureau, Cheyenne, Wyoming has a population of approximately 56,000 residents. This makes it the largest city in Wyoming.
The most common language spoken in Cheyenne, WY is English. Other languages include Spanish and French.
Cheyenne, Wyoming was founded on November 7, 1866, by John B. Kendrick. It is one of the oldest towns in Wyoming.
Cheyenne, Wyoming is home to many historic buildings including the Old Courthouse Museum. The museum features exhibits about the history of the town as well as the state of Wyoming.
One of the best places to visit in Cheyenne, WY is the Cheyenne Depot Museum. The museum houses items from the early days of the railroad. There is also an exhibit dedicated to the Pony Express.
If you love art, then make sure to visit the Cheyenne Art Museum. Here you can see paintings, sculptures, photographs, pottery, jewelry, textiles, glassware, furniture, and more.

You may not know this but there is a huge rodeo held every year in Cheyenne, Wyoming called the National Finals Rodeo. If you have never been to a rodeo before, they are very exciting events that you should definitely check out.

• The Red Fox Restaurant & Saloon – Located at 6th and Colorado Avenue.
• The Black Sheep Barbecue – Located at 5th and Kansas Street.
• The Cowboy Cafe – Located at 2nd and Pennsylvania Avenue.
• The Blue Door Café – Located at 1st and Chestnut Street.
• The Green Room – Located at 4th and Missouri Avenue.
• The Elks Club – Located at 1st Avenue and Missouri Avenue.
• The Spotted Dog – Located at 9th and Kansas Street. (This restaurant serves breakfast.)
• The Cattle Baron Steakhouse – Located at 8th and Kansas Street. This steak house is famous for its steaks.
• The Tivoli Theatre – Located at 1st Ave and Missouri Avenue. This theatre hosts live performances and musicals.
• The Cheyenne Club – Located at 17th and Kansas Street. They offer classic American cuisine.
Terry bison ranch

The Terry Bison Ranch offers three different tours: A full-day tour, a half-day tour or a sunset tour. All of these tours take guests through the beautiful rolling hills of northern Wyoming. Guests get to ride along on horseback, learn about the history of the area and even feed the animals.
There are two types of tours offered: An all-inclusive tour where guests pay $79 per person; and a self-guided tour where guests pay $49 per person.
Guests who choose the self-guided option can pick which part of the ranch they would like to explore. For example, if guests wanted to see the buffalo pen, they could do so without having to worry about what other parts of the ranch were doing.

Cheyenne is home to the world’s largest collection of Native American artifacts, the Laramie Plains Indian Cultural Center, and the Cheyenne Depot Museum.
The Laramie Plains Indian Culture Center houses an impressive array of Native American items from around the country. It also features a museum with exhibits highlighting the cultural and historical significance of the Native Americans in the region.
